Our last interview this month is with owner of Elevate Home Styling Rebecca Suaznabar, here is what she had to say,

Can you tell us about yourself and how you got into your current role and what you like about your job?

Hi my name is Rebecca and along with my friend and business partner run Elevate Home Style. We both have a passion for property and interiors, but love working with people and getting to see inside people’s homes. I love being able to help people sell their home, which can be such a stressful time, and make things that bit easier. I wish there had been a service like ours when I moved house.

What is that your company currently does and what sets them apart from their competitors?

We help prepare people’s houses for sale. Our work is really bespoke and unlike a lot of big companies we specialise in working with what our clients already have, helping to organise and clear things away, so that it looks the absolute best for photos – and stays that way! We can help home owners see their property through a potential buyers eyes – which although a challenge is the most rewarding part. Now more than ever photos are so important for how buyers judge a property, we ensure that each room looks its best, and lives up to that in person. It’s often the small touches that go the furthest.

How has Covid-19 affected the company?

A lot of our work has been very hands on, in people’s houses. Since Covid-19 we have had to rely more on ‘virtual’ consultations. This can be a slower process than if we can see inside a property, but clients have had more time to put into making changes which has helped. The housing market locally has really started to pick up which is great, and i think people seem to be more open to new ideas of how to make their homes stand out visually.

What would you say your local property market is like at the moment?

I live in a small village where the market is generally quite slow, however things are really started to move, and quick which I haven’t seen before.

Can anything be done to help the property sector at this moment in time?

I think everyone in the industry needs to adapt and work with the current situation, even though it isn’t ideal. Now more than ever different companies need to work together to support each other. People will always want to move house, there will always be a need.

Do you think Covid-19 will have a lasting affect on the property market?

Yes I do, I think Covid-19 will have a lasting affect on most aspects of our lives. I think that it has made people even more aware of how important their homes are, when you have to spend weeks on end in them without leaving. What we look for has changed, and I think a lot more people will be looking for more outside space and office space.

Where do you see yourself and the company this time next year?

Hopefully working with even more clients, and able to transform their homes (from inside rather than virtually!).

We'd like to thank Rebecca for her input, but if you'd like to find out more about her and Elevate Home Styling you can do so here www.elevatehomestyle.com.
